The world is still empowered from the amazing energy surrounding the Women’s Marches across the globe yesterday. The largest march was in Washington D.C., with over 1 million protestors. Here in Massachusetts, it was estimated that 175,000 protesters gathered in the Boston Common. You are all SO amazing. Due to mental health struggles I'm dealing with, I didn’t go to the march yesterday, but still wanted to do my part by publishing this post.
Picture credit to my friend J. Mott! This ‘Ultimate Women’s March Playlist’ is composed of feminist tunes I’ve curated over the years as well as new additions based on friend’s suggestions.
The hope is to keep the energy going from the march throughout these next four years. I’ve included songs for inspiration, anger, joy, connection, and love. Some of the songs are imperfect and questionably feminist, but there’s a mix. It’s mostly girly pop songs, but I was sure to add oldies, rock songs, and surprises.
I’ll keep growing the list on Spotify! Here are 100 of the top songs.

Ultimate Women’s March Playlist
Hard Out Here – Lily Allen
Inequality promises that it's here to stay
Always trust the injustice 'cause it's not goin' away
Sometimes it's hard to find the words to say
I'll go ahead and say them anyway
Forget your balls and grow a pair of tits
It's hard, it's hard, it's hard out here for a bitch
Sit Still, Look Pretty – Daya
Oh, I don't know what you've been told
But this gal right here's gonna rule the world
Yeah, that is where I'm gonna be because I wanna be
No, I don't wanna sit still, look pretty
Don't Be So Hard On Yourself – Jess Glynne
Don't be so hard on yourself, no
Learn to forgive, learn to let go
Everyone trips, everyone falls
So don't be so hard on yourself, no
'Cause I'm just tired of marching on my own
Gold – Britt Nicole
You're one in a million, this, this is for all the girls
Boys all over the world
Whatever you been told
You're worth more than gold
So hold your head up high
It's your time to shine
Masterpiece – Jessie J
I still fall on my face sometimes and I
Can't color inside the lines 'cause
I'm perfectly incomplete
I'm still working on my masterpiece and I
I wanna hang with the greatest gotta
Way to go, but it's worth the wait, no
You haven't seen the best of me
Love Myself – Hailee Steinfeld
I'm gonna put my body first
And love me so hard 'til it hurts
I know how to scream out the words
Scream the words
Gonna love myself, no, I don't need anybody else
Roar – Katy Perry
You held me down, but I got up
Get ready 'cause I've had enough
I see it all, I see it now
I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter
Dancing through the fire
'Cause I am the champion, and you're gonna hear me roar
Who Says – Selena Gomez & The SceneWho says, who says you're not perfect?
Who says you're not worth it?
Who says you're the only one that's hurtin'?
Trust me, that's the price of beauty
Who says you're not pretty?
Who says you're not beautiful?
Survivor – Destiny's Child
Thought I couldn't breathe without you, I'm inhaling
You thought I couldn't see without you, perfect vision
You thought I couldn't last without you, but I'm lastin'
You thought that I would die without you, but I'm livin'
Thought that I would fail without you, but I'm on top
Thought it would be over by now, but it won't stop
No Scrubs – TLC
I don't want no scrub
A scrub is a guy that can't get no love from me
Hanging out the passenger side
Of his best friend's ride
Trying to holler at me
- Imagine – John Lennon
